It is the vision of the Upstate Career Source System to create and oversee a continuously improving workforce investment system for Cherokee, Spartanburg and Union counties that ensures employers have a work-ready pool of applicants and a point of contact to obtain other employer related services.
Free Services
- List job openings with the centers either by fax, mail or e-mail by downloading the job order form. Forms should be sent to Employer Services Coordinator. (information at bottom of this page.)
- Assistance with writing a job opening or description.
- Pre-screening of applicants to meet job requirements
- Skills assessments - SAGE and Work Keys
- Convenient scheduling and referral for interviews with applicants
- Comfortable setting to conduct interviews - use of the Upstate WIB Business Resource Facility conference room and/or office.
- Local economic and labor market information
- Setting appointments for new hires for drug screening and/or physicals.
- Employer related workshops.
There are also grants available for On-the-Job training and Incumbent Worker Training.
Services for a Fee
- Detailed company-specific testing
- Testing skill levels and aptitudes of current employees
- Hosting and/or conducting workshops
- Occupational skills training specific to the industry
- Specialized labor market data in presentation form as directed by the employer
